Experto for Mac and Windows: your lists on the edge of the screen

Experto now has an app for Mac and Windows: a panel on the edge of the screen, one click or shortcut away. See everything new on desktop.

Experto is now on your computer. The app for Mac and Windows keeps your lists on a tab at the edge of the screen: one click and the panel slides over any program, with no window switching.

It's the same account as the web, with the same lists, notes and messages, updated in real time. Here's what the app brings.

The panel on the edge of the screen

The panel is all of Experto in a narrow space, docked to the edge.

  • One click: the tab on the edge opens the panel over whatever is on screen.
  • Cursor ready: when it opens, the cursor is already in New item. Type, press Enter and get back to what you were doing.
  • On the side you like: in Notch position, under Settings, pick right or left, top, middle or bottom.
  • Full screen: the tab stays within reach during videos and presentations. Rather have it out of the way? Turn on Hide in full screen.

Shortcuts

You can use the panel without taking your hands off the keyboard.

  • ⌥Space on Mac and Alt+Space on Windows: shows or hides the panel. If another program already uses it, try ⌃⌘E on Mac or Ctrl+Alt+T on Windows.
  • Paste as item: with ⌃⌥V on Mac or Ctrl+Alt+V on Windows, the text you copied becomes a new item in the open list.
  • Esc: closes the panel and gives focus back to the window you were in.

Alerts without opening anything

With the panel closed, the tab shows what came in.

  • Blue dot: a new notification in the bell.
  • Yellow dot: an unread message.
  • A little shake and a sound: the moment something new arrives, with a sound for each kind of alert. You can turn the sound off in Settings.

Files dragged to the edge

Drag a file to the tab, and it waits in the tray until you pick the task.

  • Open the task and click Save here to attach it.
  • The tray keeps files for 3 minutes, and nothing leaves your computer before Save here.
  • Dropped the file somewhere else in the panel? It goes to the tray too.
  • With the task open, dropping the file on it attaches it right away.

Made for your computer

The details that make the app feel like part of the system.

  • Launch with Mac or Launch with Windows: Experto opens on its own when you turn on your computer.
  • Automatic updates: when a new version is ready, Restart to update shows up.
  • Mac app signed by Apple: the app is signed and notarized, for macOS 12 or later on Apple silicon.
  • Windows 10 or 11: the same app, with the same shortcuts.
  • The Organizer one click away: in the profile menu, it opens the web version in your browser.

Getting started

The panel on the edge is the shortest path between remembering a task and writing it down. Download the app for Mac or for Windows and sign in with the same account.
